Six Already

So Griffin turned six years old. I can not believe where the time has gone. Before I know it, I am sure I will be attending his high school graduation. Until then, I'll just hope to enjoy these small moments.

First Day of Kindergarten

I can not believe that Griffin has started Kindergarten already. He was very excited this morning. He did very well when I left. I hope he has a great first day and wants to go back tomorrow.

More Family Pics

Family

I didn't get to take as many pictures of family as I would have liked. But here are a few.

Griffin and Timmi

A couple of years ago I sent my dad an African grey parrot named Timmi. Griffin had a great time feeding Timmi and playing with her. He fed her loquat fruit from my parent's backyard.

Trip to Cali

Griffin and I went on our semi-annual trip to Cali last week. It was a very busy trip. Overall, it was a nice trip. We started with my niece's wedding. Then I got the chance to meet a high school friend that I had not seen in 14 years. Then we ended with a big celebration for my Dad. He was sick for 7-8 months and has recovered. Family and friends from all over the country came to the celebration. My Dad was very happy and thankful.

Here's my parents, my niece, and Griffin out in the backyard. Even though my parents live in the suburb, they have never gotten away from the farm life. There property is field with veggies and spices of all sorts, pomegranites, peaches, nectarine, sugar cane, oranges, and loquats.

New Pictures by Julie Anderson Photography

I have been wanting to get photos of Michele, Griffin and I for a while now. We decided to ask our friend, Julie to help. We are very thankful that she took the time for us. The pictures turned out great. You can check out more of Julie's work at www.JulieAnderson-Photography.com

Snow in Spring

We thought the snow season was over. I guess we were wrong. The snow did allow the kids to go out and play. They were probably the only ones happy to see the snow. I myself can't wait for normal spring weather.

Growing older

I recently turned another year older. Although most people probably think I am not old, somehow I feel old.

Today, my son said something to me that was very sweet but kind of sad. He told me that he didn't want to get bigger because he didn't want me to get old. He said it in a very caring way that took me by surprise. I can't believe that he is already worried about me getting old. At least it means he loves me and doesn't want to see me gone.
